Victory!

Mississippi Patriots Trounce
Carpetbaggers and Scalawags!

Tuesday, April 17, 2001, the people of Mississippi went to the polls and defeated efforts to destroy our beloved State Flag by a two-to-one margin!

The America First Party of Mississippi was the ONLY political party to come out in favor of preserving our state's heritage and honoring those patriots who gave their lives to defend our people from the Federal invaders and Yankee imperialism.

Despite complete silence from the so-called "conservative" Republican Party, and in the face of betrayal by almost every prominent institution and organization in the state, the voters sent former Governor William Wimper and his motley band of would-be Dixie Destroyers packing in a humiliating defeat.

"Every major media outlet opposed us, most 'mainline' denominations betrayed us," said an exultant Trey Golmon, America First Party Chairman, "but the people never broke faith!"

On the night of the victory, one prominent flag supporter challenged those who have tried to destroy our flag:
"Accept our love for our flag and let go of your hate for our flag and let's all get along."
The America First Party of Mississippi will continue to press this great victory for our flag. We will strongly support efforts to incorporate our State Flag into the Mississippi State Constitution by referendum, a move which will make it all but impossible for the flag to be removed by the liberals and the politicians.
